Wraith AUSV

AUTONOMOUS SURFACE VESSEL

Wraith AUSV

Persistent. Resilient. Affordable.

A 34-foot hybrid diesel-electric AUSV delivering days-to-weeks of autonomous maritime presence — built on a combat-proven hull with U.S.-manufactured propulsion.

THE CHALLENGE

Persistent Presence at Sustainable Cost

Maritime domain awareness demands continuous coverage across vast ocean areas, but manned platforms cost tens of thousands per day to operate. Existing unmanned systems either lack the endurance for multi-day missions or the sea-keeping for open-ocean operations.

Wraith fills the endurance gap in the 25–40 foot platform class — where no current solution delivers days-to-weeks of autonomous maritime presence with multi-mission flexibility.

HYBRID DIESEL-ELECTRIC

Two Propulsion Modes. One Platform.

Twin diesel outboards deliver 35+ knot sprint speeds for rapid transit and intercept. Dual electric water jets provide silent, low-signature loiter for covert on-station operations.

The hybrid architecture enables Wraith to cycle between diesel recharging and electric operations — staying on station for days to weeks without returning to base.

Sprint Mode

35+ knots on diesel power

Silent Mode

Electric loiter for days to weeks

CORE CAPABILITIES

Intelligence at the Edge

Multi-Sensor Fusion

EO/IR, radar, LIDAR, AIS, and acoustic data fused into a unified tactical picture for real-time situational awareness.

COLREGS-Compliant Navigation

Deterministic collision avoidance using velocity obstacles and a rule engine — provable compliance, not a checkbox.

Contested Communications

Five independent comms modes with automatic failover: tactical mesh through satellite to HF backup.

Survivable by Design

Split-bus power, dual propulsion modes, HDPE hull that floats even when holed. No single point of failure.

MODULAR ARCHITECTURE

Six Mission Packs. One Platform.

Hot-swappable mission packs transform Wraith from an ISR platform to an ASW node to an EW collector in under two hours. Standardized power, data, and structural interfaces across all packs.

ISR

Enhanced EO/IR, synthetic aperture radar, long-duration collection management

EW/SIGINT

Wideband RF detection, classification, direction-finding, and geolocation

AUAV

Tethered drone with 50-hour flight endurance and 100m altitude for persistent overhead ISR

C-UAS

Drone detection, tracking, and defeat for harbor, anchorage, and force protection

ASW

Towed passive sonar array for submarine detection in contested waters

Riverine

Shallow-water sensors and navigation optimized for confined waterways

C2-AGNOSTIC ARCHITECTURE

Your C2. Our Platform.

Wraith ships with a proven baseline command and control system integrated with the propulsion and navigation stack. The platform is C2-agnostic — customers can integrate their own C2 or C4ISR solution through standardized interfaces.

For customers requiring advanced autonomous decision-making, multi-domain sensor fusion, and tactical data sharing, Spartan X's Archeon C4 is available as an optional C4ISR payload.

  • Baseline C2 with proven propulsion integration
  • Optional Archeon C4 for autonomous tactical decision-making
  • Customer C2 integration via standardized interfaces
  • Five-mode contested communications resilience
  • NATO interoperable (STANAG 4817, Link 16)

Archeon C4 — Optional C4ISR

Archeon C4 is Spartan X's C4ISR platform — available as a payload option for Wraith or any autonomous maritime platform. It provides real-time common operating picture, COLREGS-compliant autonomous navigation, AI governance verification, and fleet coordination for contested environments.
